I am building a 6.5 Grendel. And I am not sure on barrel length. Possibly to do a little hunting , but mainly paper punching between 300-500 yards . Any info is greatly appreciated. Stainless vs perkerized Thanks larry

For the 6.5 Grendel, a good all around barrel length is the 18”. Stainless Steel will offer a more true accurate barrel than a Parkerized barrel.

I have a 20in heavy barrel 556/223 1/7 twist. What are the best bullets to use? Thanks!

Your barrel being a 1:7 twist, the heavier grain (69-90 grain weight) 5.56 ammo would be best. Seeing that your barrel is 20” and a heavy barrel, optimum grain weight would be in the 69-72 grain weight. As for Brands of ammo, many companies nowadays make good 556 ammo. Hope this was helpful George.
