How do I get the firing retainer pin inside the carrier?

Hold the BCG in your hand with the bolt pointing towards the ground.
Looking at the retainer pin, one end maybe just ever so slightly longer than the other side.
Ensure that the longer side is at the top, or towards you, ensuring that the head of the retainer pin is laying horizontally.
Then place the retainer pin into the first hole. Push it in until it stops against the inside wall of the carrier.
Then with your thumb, gently push the head of the retainer pin away from you so that both prongs of the pin inside the carrier are being forced towards you and aligning with the next hole in the carrier.
While gently pushing the head of the retainer pin away, try to push the two ends into the other hole.

This may take a few tries, but it’s the quickest way to get the retainer pin in
