This BCA AR-15 complete 22 magnum length upper has a 20" 416R heavy barrel with a stainless finish, and features a 1:16 twist rate. It includes the new 15" MLOK rail, a M4 flat-top billet upper receiver, a BCA bolt carrier group, a flash hider, and a right-side charging (Gen2) handle (patent protected). This 22 mag upper is compatible with any mil-spec AR-15 lower with an unnotched hammer (rounded) and this upper includes the buffer spring and buffer. (Our included buffer and spring are for a carbine style, adjustable stock)

The North Carolina-based company has a knack for getting things to work without relying on overcomplicated, expensive designs, and they ought to be commended for these efforts. Their .22 WMR uppers and rifles boldly illustrate this.

Meanwhile, it checks all the boxes for me. With the exception of the side-charging, it handles just like my other rifle...During my time with it, it was as dependable as any other quality semi-auto rimfire rifle. Maybe a bit more fun to shoot though.
