22-250

The .22-250 Remington (22250) is a high velocity, short-action, .22 caliber rifle cartridge which is mostly used for small game and varmint hunting. It can reach over 4000 feet per second and is commonly used by women and children for deer hunting due to its low recoil. High wind states in the USA show more popularity for this cartridge because of its velocity. This cartridge is also known for being accurate and consistently excellent and built a reputation for remote wounding effects known as hydrostatic shock. Typical factory-loaded .22-250 rounds propel a 55-grain bullet just shy of 3700 feet per second, but many other loads with lighter bullets can achieve much higher velocities. Currently, the .22-250 is the fastest production cartridge in the world. Bear Creek Arsenal is proud to provide high performance .22-250 rifles and uppers; get yours today and feel the excellence for yourself.
