NEW PRODUCTS
BOLT ACTION STYLE AR15
Continuing Bear Creek Arsenal’s goal of offering our customers the most options when selecting AR platform guns and components, we are announcing our newest edition: BOLT ACTION STYLE AR15!!!! These are designed to fit any mil-spec AR15 lower assembly. The initial chamberings are two of our most popular for hunting: .350 Legend and .450 Bushmaster. Other calibers will quickly follow.
These will be offered in complete upper assemblies. Keep checking your emails and the website as these should be available by mid-November.
AR15 5.56 NATO BUFFERLESS
On the drawing board is a BUFFERLESS 5.56 NATO option. This will eliminate any issues with buffer tubes and will allow installation of folding stocks. Projected launch date is 12.16.24.
5.56 NATO 4.5” BARREL
Great for self-defense, the new 4.5” barrel in 5.56 Nato is now available in complete upper assemblies and complete pistols with a brace.
KNIVES
Partnering with Chris Williams of Wilmont Knives, BCA is now offering fixed blade sheath knives. The latest one is a 2.75” Drop Point which includes the G10 scalloped scales for sure grip and a molded Kydex sheath.
NEW CALIBERS
BCA is proud to announce two new .22 calibers:
the .22 ARC and .22 Creedmoor. The .22 ARC is in the AR15 platform and the .22 Creedmoor is in the AR10 platform.
The projected launch date for both 11.22.24
A little further out, the .277 Fury (6.8 x 51) will be available by 12.20.24. It is in the AR10 platform.

GRILLIN’ AND CHILLIN’
Braised Venison with Rosemary and Shiitake Mushrooms
- 2 tablespoons bacon drippings 1 ½ pounds venison, cut into 2-inch cubes
2 cups fresh shiitake mushrooms, stemmed and sliced
2 medium onions, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups dry red wine
2 tablespoons cognac or brandy (Optional)
1 cube beef bouillon
2 bay leaves
1 ¼ teaspoons dried rosemary
½ teaspoon dried thyme leaves
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
1 (8 ounce) package baby carrots (Optional)
1 tablespoon cornstarch (Optional)
2 tablespoons water (Optional)
Directions
- Melt bacon drippings in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Sear venison, in two batches, until nicely browned; transfer to a plate.
- Add shiitakes, onions, and garlic; cook until softened, 1 to 2 minutes. Stir in wine, cognac, and bouillon cube, simmer 30 seconds to remove alcohol flavor and dissolve bouillon.
- Add venison, bay leaves, rosemary, thyme, and black pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low; simmer gently until venison is tender, about 2 hours or more, adding water as needed.
- Add baby carrots during last 30 minutes of cooking. When venison tender, dissolve cornstarch in 2 tablespoons water and stir into sauce to thicken sauce.
